2013 is almost over, and for some of you that’s the best news you’ve heard all year, but for others it’s kind of sad this year is over.  One of the best thing that happens on the internet right before a new year starts is that pretty much every site rounds up some of the best, worst, funniest, and weirdest things that happened in the year that is ending, and here at Surviving College, we are no different.  2013 has had its highs and lows, but it also has given us some really funny videos.  Our video of the day feature showcases a variety of videos, from the slightly informative to the extremely hilarious.  It was hard to pick just a handful, but here are 10 of our favorite and most culturally relevant videos from 2013.  We hope you enjoy taking a look back, because tbh, I forgot some of these things even happened this year.

10. How Breaking Bad Should End

The series finale of Breaking Bad was one of the biggest television event of the year.  This video talks about some pretty ridiculous predictions for how the show would end.  Ridiculous, but things we were all thinking. Check out the original post here.

9. Benedict Cumberbatch Reads R.Kelly’s Genius

One of the cool things to be in 2013 was a Benedict Cumberbatch fangirl, and if you want to continue that habit into 2014, this video is exactly what you need.  Also, R.Kelly’s new album- maybe that should be left in 2013. Check out the original post here.

8. Jesse and the Rippers Reunite

2013- the year when Jesse and the Rippers was actually a real band for one night.  It was about time. Check out the original post here.

7. Paul Rudd is One Direction’s Biggest Fan

Forget about Cumberbatch, One Direction definitely wins the prize for having the biggest fangirl following this year.  And their biggest fan? Apparently it’s Paul Rudd. Check out the original post here.

6. Pep Talk From Kid President

This is the hilarious, yet inspiring video that put Kid President on the map.  We have loved him ever since. Check out the original post here.

5. Invisible Driver Prank

As far as silly pranks that people document and put on YouTube goes, the Invisible Driver Prank may be the best ever.  The facial expressions made by the ladies working the Drive Thrus are beyond priceless . Check out the original post here.

4. #Hashtag with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake

My biggest wish for 2014 is that Justin Timberlake will become a full time comedian, because he never fails to make me laugh.  One of the biggest and most annoying trends of the year was the excessive use of #s, and in this video JT and Jimmy Fallon show us exactly why the simple art of hashtagging got so annoying. Check out the original post here.

 3. Backstreet Boys Do the Harlem Shake

In 2013, we saw more Harlem Shake videos than we ever needed to, but the Backstreet Boy’s version is probably the best of them all, and fabulous enough to watch dozens of times.  Check out the original post here.

 2. Taylor Swift Goats Mashup

Why were we so fascinated with screaming goats this year?  I have no idea, but of all the songs goats were mashed-up with, this is the best one by far. Check out the original post here.

1. Stephen Colbert Dances to “Get Lucky”

Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky” was one of the catchiest song of the year, but Colbert’s performance to the song was just straight up amazing. Check out the original post here.  By the way, the original video is unfortunately no longer available, but since it is so eipc, you’ll have to settle for this version someone recorded off their TV screen.
