Video: Colleges Do The Harlem Shake [2/15]

We’re changing things up a little bit today! Usually we just have one video of the day but today we decided to do a roundup of awesome videos (the more the merrier, right?) The Harlem Shake is the latest Internet craze – as if you didn’t already know; if you don’t, go here – and what we love about it so much is that colleges all over have jumped on the Harlem Shake bandwagon. Tons of funny and amazing Harlem Shake videos have been flooding the net in true meme fashion, and some of the best of them have come from college campuses, classrooms, and sports teams. You all know how much we love memes here at Surviving College, so we were really proud to see students everywhere making their own (and making them go viral, of course!)

Some are saying that the Harlem Shake is just the next Gangnam Style and will be  gone before we know it. We don’t really understand why people are already hating on the Harlem Shake but we think it’s fabulous and hilarious. The students who decided to put these videos together are awesome and their professors (some of these happened in classrooms) deserve an A+ for backing them up. The biggest props go to the UGA men’s swim team who did their version of the Harlem Shake under water. And to whoever is in charge of the library at Colorado College for letting them go crazy. Who would’ve thought you could pack so much ridiculousness into a 30 second video?
